ABOUT
Billy Mac

Meet the artist and painter, Billy Mac. Billy spent most of his life enjoying performing for an audience. A talented keyboardist, he began as a "Rock 'n Roll" piano player in local garage bands during the 60s before starting his music career in the 70s as a lounge piano player and singer. Since then, he has played solo, as Billy Mac, One Man Band, and in local bands, trio's and duo's, including his current duo, Cab Fare with singer Rena Gaille.
During his teaching career, Billy founded and acted as Director of The Performance School for its thirteen years of operation. There, he encouraged and mentored many young performers who appreciated the "joy of performing".
Billy stays busy, playing many different venues in Muskoka and surrounding communities. In the local music scene, he has stayed active as a player, organizer, and promoter. He was the owner-operator of Blue Heron Productions, where he made notable contributions organizing and promoting entertainment for local festivals.
Billy continues to write and record songs in his home studio, "a creative way of documenting life as it passes by." His new EP is titled Tracks.
